The Weeknd’s first haunted house, “After Hours Nightmare,” opened during Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. The walk-through experience featured music and themes from The Weeknd’s 2020 album “After Hours.” This included “Blinding Lights,” Billboard’s #1 greatest hot 100 hit of all time.

“A Fun and Novel Stage”

Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye is excited to once more be part of HHN’s legacy.

“Halloween has been significant to my music, and that makes Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights such a fun and novel stage to bring my music around the world,” the musician said. “I’m thrilled to have a haunted house in Singapore and share this experience with my fans in Southeast Asia.”

Earlier this year, Guinness World Records named The Weeknd the most popular artist in the world. “After Hours Til Dawn” is also the name of the performer’s ongoing global stadium tour, which hits Mexico next.

Music + Horror

Singapore’s HHN will host a total of five haunted houses, three scare zones, and two live shows.

“We are excited to bring ‘The Weeknd: After Hours Til Dawn Nightmare’ haunted house to fans in Southeast Asia and showcase how music and horror can blend into an unforgettable experience,” said Markham Gannon, director or resort experience at Resorts World Sentosa, home of Universal Studios Singapore.

Gannon noted 2023 will be the first year Singapore’s HHN will feature two haunted houses connected to intellectual property. In addition to The Weeknd, the other is Netflix’s “All of Us Are Dead.” He continued, “It is a great representation of the combination of Asian and Western elements that we have at the event, including the original content created for this region.”
