Six Flags Over Georgia changes ‘Dead Man’s Party’ show title for Fright Fest 2026
Six Flags Over Georgia has renamed a Fright Fest show and revised its description ahead of Friday’s reopening. It remains unclear whether Six Flags Over Georgia plans for additional Halloween entertainment changes.
Previously advertised as “Dr. Fright’s Dead Man’s Party,” the production is now listed as “Dr. Fright’s Party” as Six Flags Over Georgia prepares to reopen Friday, Oct. 16.
The same show is also presented at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, where its online listing reflects a name change. Interestingly, Great Adventure’s 2026 Fright Fest lineup also includes “Final Destination: Death’s Playground,” a haunted attraction based on the horror franchise.
The revisions come during a difficult week for Six Flags Over Georgia, as the park prepares to reopen Friday, Oct. 16, following the fatal Oct. 12 incident aboard the Goliath roller coaster.
While the timing of the changes is notable, Six Flags has not confirmed whether they were made in response to the tragedy or whether additional adjustments to Fright Fest entertainment are planned.
The changes raise questions about whether Six Flags plans to adjust additional Fright Fest entertainment, although the company has not announced broader modifications or explained the revised show listings.
Attractions Magazine has contacted Six Flags Over Georgia for clarification on this change and any others that may be put in place. This article will be updated if any details are provided.
About ‘Dead Man’s Party’
‘Dead Man’s Party‘ has been part of Fright Fest since 1999, but the show was not part of the 2025 Fright Fest lineup. This year is the first appearance after a one-year absence, which may not seem like much, but Halloween fans are a passionate bunch.

Six Flags Over Georgia’s official Fright Fest website now describes “Dr. Fright’s Party” this way:
Join Dr. Fright for a lively Halloween celebration filled with energetic entertainment, larger-than-life characters, and festive surprises.
The description continues by calling it a signature Fright Fest experience that brings seasonal fun and excitement to guests of all ages.
