Snapcon, first convention for the Marvel Snap game, to be held in Tampa

The popular Marvel Snap mobile card game is getting their first convention. Although SnapCon is not an official one con, planners hope to have in-person tournaments, talks, tips, and more.

Marvel Snap is an official Marvel digital collectible card game for Android, iPhones, and Steam. The game features a collection of different characters from the Marvel Universe, each with individual powers which affect the game. Since being released last year, the game has grown in popularity because of its fast-paced gameplay, with each game only taking about three minutes, and it only taking a few minutes to learn to play.

The two-day SnapCon is being billed as, “the largest in-person Marvel Snap event of the year” and is set to take place at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida on Aug. 25 and 26, 2023. Organizers plan to offer a wide range of engaging activities. From tournaments, to thought-provoking panels and interviews with content creators.

One of the highlights of SnapCon is its lineup of game shows that will challenge participants’ knowledge and expertise in all things Marvel Snap. Attendees can unleash their inner geek as they compete against fellow fans in game show formats designed to test their wit and quick thinking.

In addition, SnapCon offers unique meet and greet sessions with renowned creators from the Marvel Snap gaming community, providing a chance for attendees to meet and hang out with each other.

SnapCon will also feature an award show honoring players who have demonstrated outstanding skills and contributions within the Marvel Snap gaming community.
