Sneak peek at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind boarding area
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens this summer 2022 at Epcot in Walt Disney World, and Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared a sneak peek at the roller coaster’s boarding area and ride vehicles.
Via his Instagram account, Riddley gave eager fans a first-look at the ride’s boarding area, which was recently featured in the Disney D23 magazine.
Dubbed an “omnicoaster,” the ride will take visitors on a “race through time and space” onboard Starjumper vehicles, according to Riddley.
Senior Ride Development Engineer for Walt Disney Imagineering, Liz Diaz, also shared insights via Walt Disney Imagineering’s Instagram account, saying, “It’s save the galaxy time! […] Here on this attraction our guests can expect the unexpected.”
Diaz says the innovative ride system is “similar to omnimovers like Haunted Mansion, which points you to the show sets.”
Testing of the ride system has begun, and the attraction will open this summer.
