Last night during the filming for the ABC Christmas special, the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was lit up in Christmas decor.
While the Sunset Seasons Greeting officially begins Nov. 9, this was the first time ever guests were able to see the Tower of Terror with the new projections.
The projections started with the Tower of Terror being wrapped like a present, with the lights on Sunset Boulevard changing colors. While the projections were quite bright, anytime larger fireworks from Star Wars Galactic Spectacular were going off, it completely blew out the tower. This will be an issue Disney will have to work around with the timing of the projection shows.
After minor testing with the tree lights on Sunset Boulevard, the Tower of Terror projections were changed to a toy stack. This is one of the main shots from the concept art, showcasing the Hollywood Toy Hotel.
Sunset Seasons Greetings will officially begin Nov. 9, 2017 along with the rest of the Hollywood Studios’ decorations. Keep an eye out on our social media and website for footage of the entire show. For now, here is a preview of the testing last night.
