A brand-new 50-acre water park called ‘Soaky Mountain’ is coming to Sevierville, Tenn. in summer 2020.
This new $90 million water park is currently under construction, and is expected to bring 100,000 new guests to Sevier County and have an estimated annual park attendance of 400,000 visitors. Soaky Mountain will be home to over 11 water attractions designed for guests of all ages and thrill levels.
The water park will feature two main wave attractions: a 35,000 square foot wave pool that can generate waves up to 6 feet high, and a wave river that spans an area of 24,000 square feet. In addition, the water park will also offer a themed kids’ play-and-spray area, a kids’ activity pool with slides, an ADG Adventure Lagoon ride with a Wibit water obstacle course, a flat-water cabana pool, a double FlowRider surf ride, and four large slide complexes that will include family raft rides, body slides, mat racers and more.
“Soaky Mountain Waterpark is going to be an amazing destination for families with children of all ages to enjoy,” said Joe Eck, COO of Wilderness Resorts and Waterparks. “It will feature some of the most popular, thrilling and unique water attractions available, and it will all be outdoors in a beautiful mountain-modern park setting.”
The new water park will open in summer 2020. Once open and operating normally, Soaky Mountain will be open daily from mid-May through August, with openings on select days through mid-September.
