Tune in for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Takeover across Disney’s TV networks

The Disney family of television networks is celebrating the newest land to come to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort with a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Takeover of epic proportions from Sept. 24-30.

From morning to evening, fans will feel the Force on ABC’s daytime and syndication lineups through ABC News’ “Nightline,” featuring appearances by BB-8, First Order stormtroopers, and even a Sith Trooper. On “Good Morning America” this Thursday, Sept. 26, viewers will get a sneak peek at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which opens Dec. 5 at Walt Disney World and Jan. 17, 2020 at Disneyland Resort.

ABC’s primetime series will take part in the Galaxy’s Edge Takeover during fall premiere week and beyond. Viewers will see easter eggs, get on-air mentions and surprises from the Star Wars universe. The fun begins tonight, Sept. 24, with “black-ish,” and ends on Monday, Sept. 30 with “Dancing with the Stars.”

Tuesday, Sept. 24

  • “black-ish” – 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

  • “The Goldbergs” – 8 p.m.
  • “Modern Family” – 9 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 27

  • “American Housewife” – 8 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 29

  • “America’s Funniest Home Videos” – 7 p.m.
  • “The Rookie” – 10 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 30

  • “Dancing with the Stars” – 8 p.m.

Freeform will air a two-hour primetime special called “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Adventure Awaits” on Sunday, Sept. 29, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Harris will take viewers on an exploration of the new land and learn more about how it was brought to life. Celebrity guests on the special include Kaley Cuoco, Keegan-Michael Key, Jay Leno, Sarah Hyland, Miles Brown and more.

Sunday, Sept. 29

  • “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Adventure Awaits” – 8 p.m.

ESPN’s “SportsCenter” will air a feature showcasing “College GameDay” commentators experiencing the land during a recent trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Saturday, Sept. 28

  • “SportsCenter” – 10 a.m.

Disney Channel will take part by airing a segment featuring Miranda May from “Bunk’d” and Sean Giambrone from “Kim Possible” as they sample Blue Milk, build their own droids, and take a ride on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Disney Junior will also air a Galaxy’s Edge segment, featuring a family of Star Wars fans meeting Chewbacca, building custom droids, and flying the Millennium Falcon.
