The Star Wars-branded OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) evo television, made by LG, was created in collaboration with Lucasfilm, with a limit of 501 units to be released in the U.S.

Among its features are:

  • Star Wars inspired user interface
  • Exclusive gallery of “Star Wars” content
  • Star Wars-branded version of LG’s Magic Remote
  • Numbered certificate of authenticity
  • And more

Packaging for the TV features Darth Vader, and the Magic Remote control user interface mimics the look and sound of the “Star Wars” movies’ iconic lightsaber.

Using LG’s Gallery Mode, TVs are turned into a canvas by displaying paintings, sketches, and other art within two different categories: The Creation and The Cinematic Vision.

The art within The Creation category features original storyboard and illustrated images which detail how “Star Wars” was brought to life.

The Cinematic Vision showcases content that includes movie posters and major movie scenes.

“With LG OLED TV technology, the dark side can truly be an exciting and bright experience, especially when working alongside Lucasfilm,” said LG USA’s Senior Director of Home Entertainment Product Marketing, Tim Alessi. “We’re excited for avid ‘Star Wars’ and technology fans alike to experience their favorite films in an immersive way though the special edition OLED TVs. You’ll truly never watch ‘Star Wars’ the same way again.”

Availability of the Star Wars Edition LG OLED TV will be announced at a later date.
