‘Myth: A Frozen Tale’ brings a new ‘Frozen’ story to Disney+

Disney+ is bringing fans of all things “Frozen” a new opportunity to immerse themselves in the fantasy realm of “Frozen 2.” “Myth: A Frozen Tale,” originally created as a VR short by Walt Disney Animation Studios, will premiere on Disney+ on Feb. 26, giving audiences at home a new way to explore the land and elemental spirits first introduced in “Frozen 2.”

Chicago’s Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, featuring Mickey, Minnie and more, goes virtual — here’s how to watch

The pandemic has forced the cancellation of beloved traditions across the country in 2020. In Chicago, the country’s third-largest parade — the marquee element of the city’s annual BMO Harris Magnificent Mile Lights Festival — was called off this year. Although the parade won’t be making its way down North Michigan Ave., Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile will still shine bright all winter long with illuminated trees — and a special virtual experience will take the place of in-person festivities.

Olaf gets an origin story in new Disney+ short ‘Once Upon a Snowman’

Wrapping up a full-length animated feature can be a bittersweet moment after years of hard work, so it was with excitement and relief that the award-winning team of filmmakers behind “Frozen II” moved swiftly from their latest blockbuster to “Once Upon a Snowman,” a new animated short, debuting on Disney+ on Oct. 23, that tells the story of Olaf’s first moments of life.

Disney helps Make-A-Wish grant their 500,000th wish

For 40 years, Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together to make more than 140,000 wishes come true. Although in-person wish experiences are temporarily suspended, that didn’t stop Disney from helping Make-A-Wish celebrate their 40th anniversary by granting the 500,000th wish.
