Taylor Swift rumor: The odd clues surrounding characters in “Toy Story 5”
A horse named Daffodil is the latest intriguing mystery surrounding “Toy Story 5.” Disney has placed Daffodil the horse in front of Magic Kingdom guests through Jessie’s Roundup, while merchandise features unfamiliar horses alongside Jessie and Bullseye. Taylor Swift fan theories are running like wild horses, so let’s take a closer look at the clues Disney may have been sharing all along.

While Pixar has officially named Blaze, a girl character who loves horses, and revealed her voice actor, one mystery remains. The studio has yet to identify the performers behind Daffodil, a purple Pegasus-style horse, and a palomino horse toy in “Toy Story 5.”
Looking back, Disney may have hidden one of the newest characters in plain sight.
After visiting Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom, I kept thinking about one activity where kids help feed a horse named Daffodil. The game debuted as Pixar officially introduced Daffodil as Blaze’s horse companion in “Toy Story 5.”
And now, I will attempt to put the pieces together to show the possibility that Taylor Swift is involved with one of the new horse characters in the upcoming film.

Taylor Swift “Toy Story 5” rumors are off to the races
In recent weeks, Swifties have been speculating about details that make it seem like Taylor Swift is involved in “Toy Story 5.” Despite growing fan speculation, Disney and Pixar have not announced any involvement from Taylor Swift in “Toy Story 5.” Reports connecting the singer to the film are currently based on fan theories, social media observations, and perceived Easter eggs rather than any official confirmation.
For weeks, I have been ignoring the rumors. Being in the theme park journalism line of work, I figured I would get the press release if there is ever anything official.
But then a visit to Magic Kingdom and a media preview of “Toy Story 5” merchandise started me on a late-night investigation.
Is Taylor Swift voicing a horse character?
Pixar recently shared a video of Jessie the yodeling cowgirl dancing on a giant “TS” billboard while using the Taylor Swift lyric, “She’s making those moves up as she goes!”
See the Instagram post below.
At the same time, at Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom, there is an activity with a horse character named “Daffodil,” but there’s been no promotion on this character aside from this in-park activity.
Furthermore, early “Toy Story 5” merchandise pairs Jessie and Bullseye with Blaze’s horses. None of this confirms a Taylor Swift connection, but these breadcrumbs seem to lead back to the cowgirl at the center of it all.
Why is Daffodil in Jessie’s Roundup?
That raises an interesting question: Why spotlight Daffodil at all? The horse has not appeared in trailers, received a major marketing push, or even had a voice actor announced. Disney could have built the game around Jessie, Bullseye, or another well-known “Toy Story” character. Instead, guests have been interacting with a largely unknown newcomer long before most fans even knew the character existed.
If Disney wanted a generic horse-themed activity, they could have called it:
- Feed Bullseye
- Help Jessie with the horses
Instead, they used the specific character Daffodil, which at the time meant almost nothing to guests.

But will Daffodil actually speak?
Daffodil may not have a voice actor at all. Recent reports describe Daffodil as Blaze’s real-life horse, not a toy, which would fit with how animals have traditionally been portrayed throughout the “Toy Story” franchise.
Characters like Buster, Andy’s dog in “Toy Story 2” just barks and pants like a dog would, making it unlikely that Daffodil would be a speaking role. That makes Disney’s decision to feature Daffodil in Jessie’s Roundup even more intriguing. For a character who may never say a word, Daffodil has already received some attention through the Magic Kingdom activity.
Disney Store merchandise adds another layer to the Taylor Swift mystery
A Disney Store play set inspired by “Toy Story 5” offers another clue. The set includes Jessie and Bullseye alongside Blaze’s Pegasus and Palomino toy horses, all packaged inside a stable-themed display.

I was immediately intrigued when I spotted a “Toy Story 5” horse set during a media preview for Cool Kids’ Summer. The display paired Jessie and Bullseye with two horses I didn’t recognize. As a longtime “Toy Story” fan, seeing new horses included with such established characters grabbed my attention. Bullseye has been closely tied to Jessie since “Toy Story 2,” so the addition of two previously unseen horses seemed notable to me.
So far, the product description does not mention the horses’ names. It’s established that Daffodil is Blaze’s real-life horse, and yet the Disney Store listing does not address the two new horse characters by name.
And you can see in the photo below not just the horse toy set, but also a plush horse that looks like it might be Daffodil, indicating this character may be important.

If Daffodil is Blaze’s real horse, as previously reported, then the Magic Kingdom activity encouraging kids to “feed Daffodil” appears to be referencing a character that has received very little attention in Pixar’s marketing campaign so far.
Another mystery is the Lego set listing on Disney Store — Blaze’s Horse Ranch — uses Blaze’s name in the product title and describes all the characters in the set, but avoids identifying the actual horse characters in the description and product details.
Taken together, the Disney Store merchandise and the Jessie’s Roundup activity create an unusual situation. Have Disney and Taylor Swift worked together to softly introduce her “Toy Story 5” character long before most fans realized who it is?
