A fan’s guide to Toy Story at Walt Disney World: rides, characters, and more
As adults and kids alike prepare for “Toy Story 5” there is renewed interest in all of the fun things to do for Toy Story at Walt Disney World (WDW). We’re covering everything Toy Story at WDW, including rides, dining, characters, and more!

From stepping into Andy’s backyard to dining like they’re Woody and Buzz, Toy Story fans can experience their favorite characters in multiple ways across Walt Disney World Resort. While Toy Story Land is the centerpiece, Toy Story offerings extend to attractions, resorts and even Disney Springs.

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened on June 30, 2018, bringing guests into Andy’s backyard with oversized toys, colorful blocks and playful details. The immersive setting and mix of attractions make it one of the most popular areas of the park.
There are three rides, one merchandise shop (plus plenty of outdoor merchandise carts), two dining locations, and a few character sightings.
Buzz Lightyear ride at Magic Kingdom
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom gives guests another way to experience Toy Story characters within Walt Disney World. For many, it is a favorite ride among all the rides at Walt Disney World. And, in 2026, a new, revamped Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was born.
- Height requirement: none
- Interactive shooting ride with rotating vehicles and scoring targets
Hop aboard your own star cruiser and aim at targets to help Buzz defeat Emperor Zurg. The ability to spin your vehicle, plus all-new effects, make this ride a favorite for re-rides.

Pro tip: In the final tunnel, targets are easier to line up. Spin your vehicle to pick up extra points before the ride ends.
Stay in a Toy Story-themed hotel
Okay, calling it a “Toy Story-themed hotel” is a stretch. But at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, a Toy Story section is full of larger-than-life statues of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and more classic toys from the original “Toy Story” movie. Bright colors and oversized props extend the theme beyond the parks.
This area is popular with families and offers a fun way to stay immersed in the story throughout your trip, all while staying within budget.

Toy Story shopping at Disney Springs
Over at Disney Springs, ‘Once Upon a Toy‘ has some Toy Story merchandise and a wide assortment of other fun toys. Guests can browse toys, plush and collectibles in a themed environment without needing park admission.
Pro-tip: Pose for a photo with the large Buzz Lightyear figure at the front entrance of this store.
Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom
Debuting May 26, 2026 – Sept. 8, 2026
A newer addition for Toy Story fans, Jessie’s Roundup will bring a playful, character-driven experience to Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland. This limited-time experience is part of the 2026 Cool Kids’ Summer promotion.
This offering gives guests a chance to interact with Jessie in a themed setting inspired by the Woody’s Roundup universe. The experience offers live character interaction great for younger guests and families looking for something beyond rides.
