Universal Beijing Resort kicks off first-ever Spring Carnival 

The first-ever Universal Beijing Resort Spring Carnival will feature festive characters, food, dancing, and more from March 30 through May 26, 2024.

Throughout the Spring Carnival, Universal Beijing guests will be invited to enjoy food, new merchandise, music and dance, as well as Meet and Greets with more than ten different characters dressed for the occasion in Spring Carnival attire, including (for a limited time) Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse.

In addition to the festive Meet and Greets, guests can see the debut of the new “Universal’s Halftime Show,” a high energy, interactive performance. 

Universal Beijing Resort Spring Carnival Entertainment

Universal Beijing Resort’s Hollywood land will be decorated with bright feathers and flowers with international nods throughout.

The Spring Carnival will also present performances with bright decor and international inspiration, including festive dancers. Characters such as, Woody Woodpecker, Winnie Woodpecker, the Minions, King Julien, Puss in Boots, and more will invite  guests to join in on the Springtime fun.

At the Spring Carnival Stage at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, more than ten popular Universal characters will greet guests throughout the day, including Gru and his girls (Agnes, Edith, and Margo), as well as Shrek and Fiona, Fairy Godmother, and Prince Charming. Each will be dressed for the season. 

“Universal Pop” will be getting a Spring makeover with an all-new playlist. The “Jump, Dance, Surprise!” will be a brand-new show called “Universal’s Halftime Show,” with a diverse ensemble of performers, cheerleaders, dancers, and rappers who will gather on a mobile stage in Hollywood land to  perform rendy tunes from around the world. Guests will be encouraged to sing and dance along with the band.

Gabby, accompanied by her four friends from the mini-world, will participate in the all-new “Universal Pop” when Gabby will embark on an extraordinary “meow-tastic” journey, unleashing a burst of colorful energy.

Festive Food at Universal CityWalk Beijing

From Friday afternoon to Sunday night throughout the festival, Universal CityWalk Beijing will offer the TASTE@CITYWALK food carnival featuring a Spring Carnival International Food Fair full of a “diverse array of culinary delights and musical performances.”

There will be over ten food tents offering foods from around the world along with festive springtime drinks and music from a live DJ.

For a sit down option, some restaurants in Universal CityWalk Beijing will offer Spring menus, including Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, CityWalk Red Oven Pizza Bakery, CityWalk WUBEI Craft Food and Beer, and Neon Street Hawkers-Southeast Asian Food.

Restaurants inside the park are also getting in the mood for Spring. Hammond’s, Sunset Grill, Three Broomsticks, and Minion Land will all offer new limited time Spring options. Universal Beijing Resort will also feature Spring Carnival specialty drinks showcasing fruity and floral flavors. 

New food souvenirs will also be available for purchase, including a Bumblebee Popcorn Bucket, a new Kung Fu Panda Popcorn Bucket, and an Ice Cream with Minions Ice Cream Truck Souvenir Cup. 

Universal Beijing Spring Carnival Merchandise

The brand-new Illumination’s Daisy Bello’s product series will offer a variety of colorful headbands, bags, rings, cushions, and more.

To celebrate the fourth installment of “Kung Fu Panda,” new movie-themed merchandise includes a new character, Zhen. Guests will also find items featuring the dragon warrior, Po, and more! 

Universal Beijing Resort Hotels Join the Springtime fun

Both resort hotels at Universal Beijing will be decorated in Spring decor and offer festive food options.  Lotus Garden at the Universal Studios Grand Hotel will feature a Spring Carnival Dinner Buffet on March 31, 2024, which will give guests the opportunity to interact with Minions.

JIA at the NUO Resort Hotel will have a Spring Seasonal Menu and the Lobby Lounge will have Spring Afternoon Tea for friends and family alike to enjoy.
