Universal is continuing to expand its year-round horror ambitions with a new limited-time experience at Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, bringing original character Feaster Bunny into the spotlight.

The seasonal offering, titled “Feaster Grievings,” blends immersive storytelling, interactive gameplay, and themed food into a spring event that builds on the company’s growing portfolio of original horror IP.

What is “Feaster Grievings” at Universal Horror Unleashed

Running April 1 through May 2, 2026, “Feaster Grievings” introduces guests to a twisted narrative centered around a cursed, unfinished horror film. Upon arrival, visitors are cast as part of the production and receive a call sheet that sets the stage for their role in completing the story.

The experience unfolds across multiple environments inside Universal Horror Unleashed, guiding guests through scenes that feel like stepping directly onto a haunted film set. The storyline follows Feaster Bunny, a sinister figure intent on finishing the film at any cost, with guests pulled into the action as both observers and participants.

Long-time HHN fans may recognize the Feaster Bunny from the H.R. Bloodengutz storylines, including H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror haunted house.

Blending storytelling and gameplay

A key component of “Feaster Grievings” is its interactive structure. Guests begin with a “rotten egg hunt,” a gamified element that encourages exploration while reinforcing the narrative. Along the way, they encounter characters tied to the story, including Grace, a young girl whose unsettling relationship with her bunny adds another layer to the unfolding horror.

Participants who complete the hunt can earn prizes ranging from discounts to complimentary merchandise, adding a tangible reward to the experience. From there, the story continues inside themed environments like Boiler Bar, where guests can meet Feaster Bunny himself and step into the role of film extras.

The experience culminates in Hedge Maze Madness, located in Jack’s Alley, where guests navigate a winding hedge maze in search of a golden egg. The maze serves as the final act of the story, combining physical exploration with suspense-driven encounters that reinforce the cinematic premise.

This spring-themed offering is similar to the Krampus & Kin holiday season experience offered at Universal Horror Unleashed.

Themed food and drink

In addition to the interactive elements, “Feaster Grievings” features a lineup of limited-time food and beverage offerings designed to complement the event’s unsettling tone. Menu items include Pickled Eggs, Bloody Egg Cake Pops, and Beet Poached Truffled Deviled Eggs, each presenting a distorted take on familiar seasonal staples.

More substantial options like Duck Confit provide a savory counterpoint, while specialty drinks such as The Feaster-tini and The Blood Bunny Mocktail continue the theme.

The Feaster Bunny: a deep-cut character from Universal’s horror history

The use of original characters like the Feaster Bunny echoes the kind of storytelling long seen at Halloween Horror Nights, where Universal has built a dedicated fan following around its in-house horror icons.

While not as widely recognized as some of the event’s headline characters, Feaster Bunny represents the same creative approach that has defined Universal’s original horror content for decades. By reimagining a familiar holiday figure through a darker lens, the character fits seamlessly into the company’s broader strategy of creating memorable, internally developed IP.

Unlike licensed properties, original characters like Feaster Bunny can evolve across multiple formats, from seasonal events to merchandise and now year-round attractions. This flexibility allows Universal to build continuity between experiences while introducing new storylines that keep fans engaged.

“Feaster Grievings” is included with general admission to Universal Horror Unleashed. The event runs from April 1 through May 2, 2026, with promotional pricing available for a limited time. Guests can save up to $50 on select tickets, with Nevada resident pricing starting at $39 and non-resident pricing starting at $49, subject to availability.
