Universal Orlando’s Animal Actors On Location! to close in November
One of Universal Studios Florida’s long-running shows is coming to an end. Universal Orlando Resort confirmed Wednesday morning that Animal Actors On Location! will close permanently in November.
In a response from Universal Orlando’s official social media account, the resort said the show will have its final performances Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, and will be unavailable beginning Tuesday, Nov. 3.
“Animal Actors On Location! will run its last shows on Monday, November 2. The show will no longer be available beginning Tuesday, November 3,” Universal Orlando said in the social media response.
In a statement provided to Attractions Magazine, Universal Orlando states:
“The Animal Actors On Location! show at Universal Studios Florida will permanently close on November 2 to make way for a new experience. The show has been a part of Universal Studios Florida since the park’s opening, and we are grateful for the countless memorable moments it has provided our guests over the years. More details about the future development of the space will be shared at a later time.
We take the role we play in successfully closing this attraction seriously and will work closely with our show vendor as animals are relocated, ensuring they receive the continued care they deserve.”
History
Animal Actors On Location! combined trained animal performances with comedy and audience participation, featuring dogs, cats, birds and other animals demonstrating behaviors and tricks used in film and television.
Kids were often part of the show, too, with young volunteers selected from the audience to come onstage and interact with the animal performers — creating the kind of personal theme park memory that lasted well beyond the visit.

My own son was chosen to participate about three years ago, and it remains a fond memory from his younger years and one of our family’s personal connections to the show.

The attraction has a history reaching back to Universal Studios Florida’s early years. The theater later became home to Animal Planet Live before that production was replaced by Animal Actors On Location! after Universal’s partnership with Animal Planet ended.
The Animal Actors show in Universal Studios Hollywood closed four years ago.
