Here’s a look at the concert lineup for this year’s event:

  • Feb. 4, 2023 – Patti LaBelle
  • Feb. 10, 2023 – JVKE
  • Feb. 11, 2023 – Goo Goo Dolls
  • Feb. 18, 2023 – Maren Morris
  • Feb. 19, 2023 – WILLOW
  • Feb. 25, 2023 – 3 Doors Down
  • March 4, 2023 – Sean Paul
  • March 5, 2023 – Lauren Daigle

The concerts will, once again, be held at the Music Plaza stage in front of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras,” featuring fantastical creatures such as dragons, unicorns, and phoenixes, which will be featured on six new floats added to the traditional floats inspired by the New Orleans celebration. Universal Orlando Passholders will have the opportunity to reserve a spot to ride a float, access a special parade viewing area, and more.

Food featured throughout Universal Studios Florida will pay homage to global Carnaval celebrations, from a New Orleans-style crawfish boil to shrimp ceviche tostada from Mexico to Indonesian black coconut rice pudding. For a limited time, guests who purchase a Universal Orlando Resort Food and Beverage Card can pay only $65 for the card (a $75 value); annual and seasonal passholders can purchase a $150 card for only $120.

New for 2023 will be a small offering of Mardi Gras food for guests of Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay. The limited selection will feature items such as gumbo, jambalaya, king cake, and muffuletta long board pizza.

The new Mardi Gras tribute store will be located in the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida. Guests can purchase new Mardi Gras merchandise such as apparel, keychains, pins, themed glasses, and more.

Finally, the party continues outside the parks at Universal CityWalk and Universal Orlando hotels. Pat O’Brien’s will host a Mardi Gras After Party on select nights from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and a special Fat Tuesday celebration on Feb. 21 from 4 p.m. to Midnight. The Red Coconut Club will also transform into the Cursed Coconut Club during Mardi Gras season. More details about that transformation are coming soon.
