Universal Studios Japan has announced a new reopening date after the park temporarily closed back in April due to the pandemic.
The park will reopen on June 1, 2021, and will operate at a reduced capacity on weekdays only from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice. Health and safety protocols will remain in place while Osaka Prefecture is under a State of Emergency and thereafter, including:
- Encourage guests to depart the theme park at varied times to avoid congestion
- Indoor dining dividers installed at restaurants
- All team members other than essential operational team members will continue to work from home
- Face masks required at all times inside the park
