Nintendo, ‘Harry Potter’ retail expansion + Butterbeer coming to Universal CityWalk Orlando
The Universal Studios Store at Orlando’s CityWalk will expand in 2025 with more merchandise for Nintendo and “Harry Potter” — including Butterbeer.

Universal Studios Store expansion with Nintendo, Wizarding World
The Universal CityWalk shopping and dining district in Orlando, Fla. will expand its flagship Universal Studios Store in 2025 with wings devoted entirely to Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

In addition to merchandise, the expanded section will also offer Butterbeer (served cold, frozen, hot, or vegan), marking the first time the signature beverage has been sold outside of a theme park at Universal Orlando. Seeing as CityWalk doesn’t charge an admission fee, this is quite a perk for guests visiting CityWalk without theme park tickets.
Universal has not announced an opening date for the expanded Nintendo and “Potter” areas of the store other than “2025.”
Location of new Nintendo, ‘Harry Potter’ retail
We expect these new Nintendo and “Harry Potter” areas to occupy the real estate formerly home to Quiet Flight Surf Shop and Cinnabon, both of which closed earlier this year and were adjacent to the existing Universal Studios Store. Construction is underway onsite.

Moe’s Southwest Grill, Panda Express, and Burger King Whopper Bar — located above the former Quiet Flight and Cinnabon — remain open with no operational changes expected.
The Epic Universe effect
The “Potter” area of the Univrsal Studios Store will spotlight all three of Orlando’s Wizarding Worlds: Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the upcoming Ministry of Magic. The latter, along with Super Nintendo World, will open in 2025 as part of the new Universal Epic Universe theme park.

Currently, CityWalk guests can purchase Nintendo and Ministry of Magic merchandise at the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center, which also showcases concept art and a massive scale model of the entire park. A selection of merchandise is also available through Universal’s online shop.
Meanwhile in the Universal Studios Florida park, construction crews are currently transforming the former Hello Kitty store into Wicked: The Experience, which will open in late October 2024.
