Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World transforms Tokyo Disneyland in 2025
Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World at Tokyo Disneyland will be the third Disney Pal-Palooza celebration, this time honoring Vanellope from “Wreck-It Ralph.”

Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan will celebrate Vanellope von Schweetz from “Wreck-It Ralph” and her love of all things sugar during an event called Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World from Jan. 15 – March 16, 2025.
The campaign is the third installment in the Disney Pal-Palooza event series, during which a Disney character takes over the resort, infusing their distinct personality and style into the parks and hotels. Disney announced Vanellope’s event on Nov. 11, 2024 and shared additional information on Dec. 4.

Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World will include a new parade, candy-themed décor, special merchandise, themed menu items, and a Vanellope hotel room takeover.
Additionally, guests who approach cast members in World Bazaar or the central hub of Tokyo Disneyland and say “Happy Pal-Palooza!” will receive free candy.

The event’s parade, titled “It’s a Sweetsful Time!,” will feature Vanellope on a candy castle float, Mickey in a rock band with instruments made of candy, and Minnie and Daisy as tour guides at a candy art gallery. “It’s a Sweetsful Time!” will also star Donald, Goofy, Cinderella, Alice, Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh, Belle, and Rapunzel.
Previous Disney Pal-Palooza events spotlighted Minnie Mouse (Minnie @ Funderland) and Donald Duck (Donald’s Quacky Duck City). Donald will get another round of festivities with Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!, the fourth Disney Pal-Palooza which will take place April 8 – June 30, 2025, following the conclusion of Vanellope’s party.

Guests can find specialty menu items at the following locations during Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World.

Unrelated to Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World but nonetheless coinciding with its kickoff is “It’s a Small World with Groot,” the new, limited-time Marvel version of the classic ride, which will operate Jan. 15 – June 30, 2025.

Looking ahead, a permanent “Wreck-It Ralph” ride will open in Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland in fiscal year 2026 (Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2026) or later, replacing the recently closed Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters.

In the attraction, enter the candy-themed racing game Sugar Rush, which is being attacked by Sugar Bugs — glitches created by King Candy. Guests team up with the beloved film characters Ralph and Vanellope to transform the Sugar Bugs back to their original “kawaii” confectionery, such as cookies and cakes.
