All guest rooms at Walt Disney World Swan will be renovated, and the convention center at Walt Disney World Dolphin will be expanded.

Rooms at Walt Disney World Swan Resort near Orlando, Fla. will be renovated by the end of 2024, the third-party hotel property announced Oct. 30. The makeovers apply to all guest rooms.

All guest rooms at both the Walt Disney World Swan and its next-door-neighbor sister property, Walt Disney World Dolphin, were previously renovated over the course of 2014-2016.

Expanded convention center at Walt Disney World Dolphin
In addition to the renovated rooms at the Swan, the convention center at the Dolphin will be expanded with a new, two-story annex building comprised of 120,000 square feet. This joins the 333,000 square feet of convention and meeting space already existing collectively across the Swan and Dolphin campuses.
Compare the rendering of the annex expansion above to the pre-expansion look, seen below in 2020. The new convention space will replace a portion of the parking lot.
The Dolphin’s convention center expansion will open by late summer 2026. It will contain:
- multi-purpose space: 41,000 square feet
- ballroom with divisible event space: 41,000 square feet
- pre-function space: 38,000 square feet
