Watch ‘How Disney Built America’ on the History Channel
The new History Channel original series “How Disney Built America” debuts April 28, 2024, featuring a combination of rarely-seen historical material, original dramatic recreations, and interviews.
Each hour-long episode will focus on a different example of “game-changing brilliance” in Disney’s history, including creating beloved characters, establishing the animated features industry, and using groundbreaking design and engineering to build Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and theme parks around the world.
“How Disney Built America” is a nostalgia-filled ride that paints a vivid picture of the world of Walt Disney and the history-making empire he and his brother Roy Disney built.
Interviews with key figures in Disney’s history provide insight into ways the brand is “forever woven into the fabric of American life,” including Imagineer Margaret Kerrison (Story Lead for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), author Mindy Johnson (Ink & Paint—The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation), and Disney Legend Bob Gurr, who developed over 100 designs for Disney theme park attractions.
“How Disney Built America” premieres April 28, 2024, at 10 p.m. Episodes can be watched the next day on the History app.
