Evermore Now a Defunct Theme Park

Featuring a walk-through village, train ride, and live performers, the 12-acre Evermore was open seasonally for summer, autumn, and winter special events. It last operated in late 2023.

Evermore was developed by Ken Bretschneider (co-founder of The Void, a VR attraction), Josh Shipley (former Walt Disney Imagineer), and Logan Long (multiple-season contestant on “Face Off,” a competition TV series focused on special effects makeup artists).

Why Did Evermore Close?

A “failed” business and operating model was the reason for the park’s closure, Brandon Frugal, who owns the property on which Evermore was located, told local Utah news station ABC4. Of the future, Frugal said the site is “under contract with a very well-capitalized group who is not only keeping the 27 existing old-world structures intact, but finishing everything with new improvements.”

“A Magical Story and an Escape from Reality”

Evermore’s official website now greets visitors with a farewell message and a gallery of 140 photos.

“To us, Evermore park was an amazing place where artists/creatives from all walks of life came together to deliver a magical story and an escape from reality,” the statement reads. “It’s our hope that the magical moments at Evermore park continue on through the memories of the all the people who made it such a special place.”

The statement notes that many guests attended in costume as characters they created themselves, and that Time Magazine named Evermore among its “World’s Coolest Places of 2019.”
