If you thought fast food toy promotions peaked sometime around your last Happy Meal, Wendy’s would like a word. The fast-food chain has officially launched its new DC Rides Kids Meal, and this one isn’t just about collectible figures. It’s also about giving those figures something to drive or fly – whether they need it or not (Why does Superman need a plane?)

In its latest team-up with Warner Bros. Discovery, the Wendy’s DC Kids Meal features 12 collectible toys. Each one pairs a hero (or Villainous Variant) with their own themed vehicle. The lineup includes a mix of iconic characters and a few deeper comic cuts:

Each collectible figure comes with its own “DC Ride”, turning this from a simple collectible into a mini playset situation.

Let’s address the Batmobile in the room. This isn’t Wendy’s first DC collaboration, but one of its more ambitious. As usual, you won’t know which figure you’re going to get, but they aren’t in blind boxes. The figures are listed on the packaging they come inside, but you won’t know if you got the hero or the villain variant. Yes, completionists, you’re going to need multiple trips. Some Wendy’s have been known to sell them separately and may even let you look through their stock, but this varies from location to location.

What comes in the Wendy’s DC Rides Kids Meal?

The food side of things sticks to the Wendy’s formula, but now with a superhero bonus. Each Wendy’s DC Kids Meal includes:

  • Choice of entrée: two-piece chicken tenders, four-piece chicken nuggets, hamburger, or cheeseburger
  • Side: fries or apple bites
  • Drink
  • One DC Rides toy (figure + vehicle)

It’s the same core meal Wendy’s fans enjoy, but now every order comes with a side of Justice (or injustice).

Toy Designers

Artist Matt Kaufenberg helped design and illustrate the Wendy’s Kids Meal toys. Additionally, other partners in making these DC toys were Chris Lee, sculptor Brandon Lyon, and the team at Strottman.

Kaufenberg’s work spans children’s books, games, and toy design. He has worked with major brands such as Disney, Netflix, Target, and Hasbro.

When it comes specifically to DC toys, Kaufenberg played a role in the design side rather than manufacturing. He created character artwork for the Wendy’s DC Heroes Kids’ Meal toy line (previously in 2023 and again in 2025). These were small collectible figures featuring popular DC characters, and his illustrations helped define their appearance before they were sculpted into physical toys.

Beyond DC, Kaufenberg has also been directly involved in the creation of original toys. He co-developed the Joy Riders toy line with Chris Lee, a retro-inspired sci-fi series that pays homage to classic space-adventure figures.

The Wendy’s DC Kids Meals are available now through early June 2026 at participating Wendy’s locations in the United States and Canada.

As always with these promotions, availability may vary, and popular characters will likely disappear faster than The Flash after a double espresso.

“This marks Wendy’s third Kids’ Meal collaboration with WBDGCP (Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products), showing the brand’s commitment to delivering legendary experiences for families and fans,” the company stated. “From DC Super Heroes to Super-Villains, every toy tells a story, and every visit to Wendy’s reveals a new chapter.”

The DC Rides Kids Meal is a surprisingly clever evolution of the classic fast-food toy. It’s more interactive (thanks, vehicles), more collectible (12 total pieces), and more appealing to … let’s say … to older fans.

Whether you’re picking one up for your kid or strategically planning your third visit to finally get Superman, this is one limited time drop that feels less like a meal and more like an adventure.
