Wildcat’s Revenge hybrid coaster opens June 2 at Hersheypark
Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark revealed Wildcat’s Revenge hybrid coaster will open to the public on June 2, 2023, becoming the park’s 15th roller coaster.
Built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the all-new wood and steel hybrid coaster is 3,510 feet long with four inversions, including the world’s largest underflip, and reaches speeds over 60 miles per hour during the two and a half minute ride.
Wildcat’s Revenge comes 100 years after the first Wild Cat ride opened at Hersheypark, the first coaster purchased by founder Milton S. Hershey. The ride features a fully renovated coaster station with a design that harkens back to the iconic 1923 Wild Cat station. Custom ride vehicles include charcoal and silver wild cats clawing their way through the train exacting revenge on their wooden predecessor.

The new black steel and wooden structure includes an imposing 140-foot lift hill that riders initially climb before plunging into the 82-degree drop at 62 miles per hour. Wildcats pursue their prey through four different inversions including a record-breaking underflip. The world’s largest underflip begins with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270° roll and a dive down towards the side.
To celebrate the opening of the 15th coaster at Hersheypark, several culinary items themed to Wildcat’s Revenge will debut across the Park and Hershey’s Chocolatetown starting Memorial Day Weekend.
The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio will introduce a new cocktail, mocktail, and dessert sundae, all themed to the ride. The Park already debuted the Wildcat’s Revenge King Size Shake and Coaster Dog and Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor will also add a new sundae, ice cream flavor and waffle cone at Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor, signature fudge at The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen and an exclusive in-park only alcoholic beverage.
The June 2, 2023, opening of Wildcat’s Revenge coincides with the start of Hersheypark’s daily operations starting May 25, 2023. The 11-acre Boardwalk at Hersheypark water park opens Saturday, May 27, 2023.
