World of Frozen to celebrate Christmas for the first time at Hong Kong Disneyland
World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland will celebrate Christmas for the first time during the 2024 season, complete with snowfall from Elsa.

Christmas in World of Frozen
“It’s the first Christmas in forever since we opened up the gates. It’s the first Christmas I remember to date, and it’s already worth the wait!”
Anna and Elsa sing those lyrics during “Ring in the Season” as part of the half-hour holiday special “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.” (You remember; it’s the one Disney made you watch before “Coco” in 2017.) Those lyrics could just as easily be sung about this holiday season at Hong Kong Disneyland, when the park’s World of Frozen area will celebrate Christmas for the first time.

World of Frozen opened in November 2023, but remained décor-less during its inaugural Christmas operations. This year, though, the land is taking part in A Disney Christmas, Hong Kong Disneyland’s annual festive season, from Nov. 15, 2024 – Jan. 1, 2025.
Arendelle’s holiday itinerary will include nighttime snowfall, Nordic Christmas cuisine at its dining locations, and meet & greets with Anna and Elsa in their holiday outfits from the aforementioned “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.”

Elsewhere in Hong Kong Disneyland outside of World of Frozen, the park’s Christmas-tree-lighting ceremony will introduce drones as part of its proceedings. See the full lineup for A Disney Christmas on the park’s website.

In summer 2024, Tokyo DisneySea opened a “Frozen” area of its own as part of the Fantasy Springs expansion.
Disneyland Paris is currently under construction on another version of World of Frozen, set to open at Disney Adventure World, the future name of the current Walt Disney Studios park.
‘Frozen’ Christmas festivities in Florida
Stateside in Florida’s Walt Disney World, Elsa will once again illuminate Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom with a wintry look (notably, though, via projections, not icicle Christmas lights) during “A Frozen Holiday Surprise.” Down the road at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, songs from “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” again join the lineup of tunes performed during “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.”
