‘Zootopia’ at sea! Disney Cruise Line gives Judy and Nick a new show and venue

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are taking their detective skills to the high seas! Disney Believe will debut the first Disney Cruise Line family show starring the “Zootopia” duo, bringing an interactive mystery to Gazelle, a new multi-use entertainment venue inspired by their bustling animal metropolis.

Try everything! Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde helped bring the excitement of “Zootopia” to the Disney Believe reveal, appearing onstage against a backdrop of the animal metropolis. Disney also unveiled colorful artwork for Gazelle, complete with the city’s towering skyline, theatrical masks and musical touches.

Now, the crime-solving duo is preparing for a new adventure at sea, where Disney Cruise Line guests will help them crack their latest case.

Judy and Nick have a new mystery to solve

For the first time aboard Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will headline a family show that invites guests to help solve their latest case.

Gazelle will offer more than the new “Zootopia” production. During the day, families can participate in trivia, games and character encounters. At night, the entertainment venue will host activities, including silent discos and variety acts.

During the Disney Believe reveal, Attractions Magazine photographed Judy and Nick performing onstage against a backdrop of Zootopia’s skyline, offering a preview of the characters’ presence in the ship’s entertainment lineup.

What is Gazelle aboard Disney Believe?

Gazelle is a two-story entertainment venue located just off the ship’s midship area, near the cinemas and Skygazers Pub. Inspired by the bustling city of “Zootopia,” it will host family activities during the day and adults-only entertainment at night.

The venue follows a design introduced with Luna aboard Disney Wish, which I have experienced firsthand. On earlier Disney Cruise Line ships, similar entertainment spaces were enclosed, single-deck venues. The Wish class introduced a more inviting layout, with two levels and sides that can remain open to the surrounding walkways or close when needed.

  • Disney Wish — Luna: A celestial-themed entertainment venue with a moon-inspired design, hosting trivia, bingo, live performances and adults-only activities.
  • Disney Treasure — Sarabi: Inspired by “The Lion King,” this venue features African-inspired design elements and serves as a gathering place for family entertainment, game shows and nighttime performances.
  • Disney Destiny — Saga: A storytelling-inspired venue celebrating Disney heroes, with a dramatic design influenced by the grand halls of heroic legends.
  • Disney Believe — Gazelle: Inspired by “Zootopia,” this venue will host trivia, games, character encounters and the first Disney Cruise Line family show starring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. At night, it will offer silent discos, variety acts and other adults-only entertainment.

It’s a brilliant design for a cruise ship. The energy from trivia, bingo and other activities spills into the surrounding area, catching the attention of guests passing by and inviting them to join the fun. With Gazelle, Disney Believe continues that approach while introducing a new “Zootopia” theme and an interactive show starring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

Where else can you find “Zootopia” aboard Disney Cruise Line?

Disney Believe won’t be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to celebrate “Zootopia.”

Aboard Disney Treasure, Jumbeaux’s Sweets brings the animated city’s famous ice cream parlor to life, complete with larger-than-life sculptures of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Guests can enjoy themed desserts, including treats inspired by the characters.

Disney Believe will take the next step with Gazelle, where Judy and Nick will star in their first Disney Cruise Line family show. Attractions Magazine also encountered Judy and Nick aboard Disney Wish during the special Disney Believe reveal cruise in October 2026.

From the streets of Zootopia to the high seas, Judy and Nick have a new case to crack — and this time, Disney Cruise Line guests are part of the adventure!
