Avengers Campus opening now delayed at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort has confirmed that the recently-announced opening for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure has been delayed due to the global health crisis.

The change was first noticed on the official Disneyland website, where the opening date for Avengers Campus — which was announced on March 11 as July 18 — was changed to “Coming Soon.”

Just one day after the original announcement, on March 12, the Disneyland Resort announced its temporary closure, showing just how quickly the current world health situation progressed. As of March 27, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World are closed until further notice.

As pointed out by Disney, this temporary closure not only means the parks themselves are shuttered, but also halts any ongoing construction there — which includes Avengers Campus.

“In line with direction from government and health officials, the temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort includes construction sites,” said Disney officials.

It is likely that a new opening date will be announced once we reach a more stable place in the ongoing health crisis, and the Disney Parks announce reopening procedures. In the meantime, stay tuned to our website for more updates.
