Last flight of a space shuttle orbiter, Endeavour leaves for California via Disney World
Space shuttle orbiter Endeavour left the Kennedy Space Center at dawn this morning. It was the last time an orbiter flew over Florida. Endeavour left for its new home, the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

SeaWorld Orlando is bringing back their annual family-friendly Halloween event, SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular, every weekend in October. Children can not only trick-or-treat and dance with fanciful sea creatures but they can also create sea-themed arts and crafts.

Water lilies seem too big to be true at Bok Tower Gardens
Over at Bok Tower Gardens, two rare Victoria water lilies (Victoria ‘Longwood Hybrid’) have grown to an unusually large size in the Reflection Pool near the Singing Tower. Each plant has 20 or more lily pads that are five foot in diameter.
