Construction continues at Epcot for the upcoming Harmonious nighttime fireworks spectacular. Today, the first of five separate barges was placed in the center of World Showcase Lagoon. These massive barges are covered in spotlights, fountains, and LED screens. The Harmonious nighttime spectacular was originally supposed to debut in 2020, but is now backed up to 2021.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was awesome in the truest sense of the word. Even if you weren’t a particular fan of what some may consider over-the-top tackiness, I’m sure you would still be in awe at the scale of this enormous holiday light display. Sadly, we all had to say goodbye to it back in 2015 to make way for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. But what if the lights were brought back to the Disney Parks in a different location? The Disney Investor 2020 event made for a historically big day for Star Wars and Disney+ alike. During this event there were massive new slate releases for Marvel Studios, the Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, National Geographic and Star Wars. Disney confirmed the names of nine new Star Wars series for Disney+, and the confirmation of the next big Star Wars feature film, “Rogue Squadron.”
At today’s Investor Day 2020 event, Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer Jennifer Lee unveiled the exciting content that will be released over the next few years, including a slate of all-new Disney Animation series and feature films.
