Starting this November, guests at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando will be spotting lions, penguins, pandas and ogres around the large resort. Gaylord has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to bring some of their best known characters in to meet hotel guests.
Look for an extra special classic car show at Downtown Disney from May 13 to 15. Fans will be able to not only see lots of classic cars but also some of the character cars from the upcoming movie Cars 2.
Starting this fall, guests staying at two Walt Disney World resorts will have a new room option. Guests at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort may opt to be treated like royalty, while guests at Disney’s Contemporary Resort can feel relaxed – with their mind and body.
Last week Universal Orlando announced on their Facebook and Twitter pages that they’d be dropping weekly hints as to the name of their new attraction. Today, their first hint arrived and the obvious clue points to either King Kong or Despicable Me.
The fans’ excitement is growing as it’s just one month until the May 20 official opening of “Star Tours -The Adventures Continue” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has been helping to grow that excitement with a mall tour, new online presence and offering more details on the ride itself.
Not only will fans get to hear from many of Orlando’s theme park designers, writers and artists this Friday during the Entertainment Designer Forum, they’ll also have a chance to take home many one-of-a-kind collectables.
Disney has started a four city Star Tours tour in Florida to promote their new Star Tours ride, which opens May 20 and kicks off this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The first tour stop was held yesterday at the Aventura Mall in Miami.
