By Anthony Armenia Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is starting off the New Year great with lots of new offerings for guests opening soon. From The Animal Care Center to Iceploration and everything in between, this next month is going to be a big one.
If you live in Florida and have kids 5 years old or younger, they can visit SeaWorld and Busch Gardens for free during 2012. Both theme parks are offering a complimentary Preschool Pass with no blackout dates.
A baby female reticulated giraffe was born on Dec. 27 at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. The baby weighed approximately 127 pounds and was 5 foot, 7 inches at birth. The mother, Tesa, has given birth to four other calves at Busch Gardens.
Both Busch Gardens and SeaWorld will celebrate Bands, Brew and BBQ starting Feb. 11, 2012. Each theme park will have live bands, specialty craft beer gardens and BBQ from local restaurants as well as the theme parks chefs.
Today through Christmas, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is celebrating the spirit of giving with “25 Days of Giveaways”. During the promotion, a different prize will be awarded every day, culminating with a $25,000 giveaway on Christmas Day.

The Florida Region of American Coaster Enthusiasts hosted an event Saturday at Busch Gardens Tampa. Dozens of ACE members were in Central Florida last week for the big IAAPA amusement park trade show. (ACE is a member of IAAPA.)

Some of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders took a break from the sidelines to visit Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens this past weekend. In addition to screaming their way through many of the haunted houses, they also met up with some zombie cheerleaders.
