Dinosaur World welcomes guests to experience Jurassic Haunt
Dinosaur World in Plant City, Fla., will conduct its first-ever after-hours event, Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed, on select nights in October.

Halloween after-hours event at Dinosaur World
For fans of the spooky season, the idea of combining dinosaurs and a haunt event sounds intriguing. Since Halloween Horror Nights fans in Orlando do not expect to see an “Islands of Fear” event again in Universal Islands of Adventure’s Jurassic Park area, Dinosaur World offers something to scratch that dinosaur scare itch with Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed. Dinosaur World can be found along Interstate Four between Orlando and Tampa.

According to Dinosaur World, this new after-hours event will feature scare zones, haunted train rides, bites, spirits, and, of course, a few surprises. The dates for this event are Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, & 26, 2024. Dinosaur World indicates that only limited quantities of tickets are available for Oct. 25 & 26. A preview night ticket can also be purchased on the Dinosaur World website for Oct. 5.
The gates open at 5 p.m. each night of Jurassic Haunt, which starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. The cost of this event is $15. Day admission ticket holders to Dinosaur World with tickets dated Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, & 26 do not need additional admission tickets to attend Jurassic Haunt on that same day. Jurassic Haunt is a rain-or-shine event, so there are no refunds due to the weather.
Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed
The theme for this first-ever event revolves around a curse. As the event’s full title (Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed at Dinosaur World) indicates, a curse of some type has been unleashed. As Dinosaur World states on its website, “Legends tell of a group of explorers who ventured far from here and unearthed something they shouldn’t have. Now, a mysterious curse is spreading, and it’s up to you to help us break it!”

Family-friendly event
For those concerned about the scare level, Dinosaur World states Jurassic Haunt will be family-friendly. Of course, that does not mean it will be without scares.
Regarding costumes, children ages 12 and under may dress in their most haunting Halloween attire. Those aged 13 and older are also encouraged to dress in family-friendly Halloween attire and costumes, but may not wear Halloween masks, face paint, or costumes that completely conceal their faces. Toy weapons are prohibited regardless of age. Dinosaur World reserves the right to deny entry to anyone whose costume is deemed inappropriate.
