‘Insidious’ haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights
A haunted house based on “Insidious” will debut during Halloween Horror Nights 2024 at Universal parks in both Florida and California.
‘Insidious’ at HHN
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) will feature an “Insidious” haunted house called “Insidious: The Further” at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood, both parks announced today. The signature haunt event returns to Florida on select nights from Aug. 30 – Nov. 3, 2024 and to California on select nights from Sept. 5 – Nov. 3, 2024.
Universal teased the backstory of the “Insidious” haunted house by saying, “Guests will follow in the footsteps of the Lamberts, encountering familiar settings and scares as they are transported directly into ‘The Further’ — the ethereal place where ghosts and demons lurk. And just like in the films, guests will quickly learn that the paranormal creatures are here to stay.”
The haunted house will be based on multiple “Insidious” films from Blumhouse Productions and Sony Pictures, featuring appearances by various villains: The Red-Faced Demon, KeyFace, Bride in Black, and the spirit of the Man Who Can’t Breathe.
Universal also shared a teaser trailer for the “Insidious: The Further” haunted house:

The news of “Insidious: The Further” follows the previous announcements of HHN’s other haunted houses:
- Florida: “Slaughter Sinema 2,” “Goblin’s Feast,” “Major Sweets Candy Factory,” “The Museum: Deadly Exhibits,” “Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America,” “Triplets of Terror, “A Quiet Place,” and “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire“
- California: “A Quiet Place,” “Dead Exposure: Death Valley,” “Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America,” and “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire“
One house remains to be announced in Florida; three in California.
‘Insidious’ in HHN History
Universal previously created haunted houses entitled Insidious: Return to the Further (which operated in Orlando in 2015) and Insidious: Beyond the Further (in Hollywood in 2017).
Halloween Horror Nights tickets are now on sale for both versions of the event, including Frequent Fear multi-night tickets.
