The Disney Destiny sailed its maiden voyage on Nov. 20, 2025, as the Disney Cruise Line fleet has nearly doubled in size to seven total ships over the past few years. The three newest “Wish-Class” ships debuted in rapid succession, so how do families decide which ship to sail in this new class?

With Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny already sailing, Disney Cruise Line is preparing to welcome its fourth Wish-class ship, Disney Believe, in December 2027. Each ship has its own theme, restaurants, entertainment and itineraries, giving families several options when choosing their next Disney cruise.

But to decide which ship to book for your family vacations, here are our recommendations:
Choose the Disney Wish for a shorter 3- or 4-night cruise if you love Disney princesses and fairy tales, and for the “Frozen dinner show and the only “Star Wars”-themed bar on a Disney ship.

Choose the Disney Treasure for a longer 7-night cruise with an adventure theme and venues themed after classic theme park attractions like Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Choose the Disney Destiny for intermediate-length 4- to 5-night cruises with a heroes & villains theme including: Marvel’s Black Panther, Loki, and Spider-Man, a “Lion King” dinner show, and a “Hercules” musical theater show.

Choose the Disney Believe for a 4- or 5-night cruise departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beginning in December 2027. With a theme of promise and possibility, the ship will feature an original “Encanto” stage musical, a new “Frozen” dining experience at Oaken’s Table and a “Moana”-inspired Grand Hall.
