Epic Universe nighttime spectacular ‘Universal Celestial Goodnight’ is gaining traction on social media
Speculation of a nighttime show for Universal Epic Universe has been in the air for quite a while. Now a year into the park’s life, fans have spotted testing for the supposed nighttime spectacular, seemingly titled ‘Universal Celestial
Goodnight.’

While rumors have circled for quite some time now about a possible fireworks show for Epic Universe, nothing has been officially announced by Universal. However, some very lucky guests have experienced testing for the possible nighttime show from the comfort of their hotel rooms.
Guests staying at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel have heard testing of audio relating to a fireworks spectacular that would take place in Celestial Park, the hub portion of Epic Universe. @uni_speaking on X shared a video documenting the announcement. Staying in a park view room at Helios Grand has its perks, but for theme park fans this might be the biggest perk of all!
Since nothing has been confirmed, it’s safe to say that ‘Universal Celestial Goodnight’ is in a sort of rehearsal period. In the video above, you’ll notice a view team members watching over the announcement testing. This is traditionally a good indicator that testing for the show itself might be coming very soon.
What we know so far
Back in December, Universal trademarked ‘Universal Celestial Goodnight,’ spotted by @ParkWizar1 on X. This immediately sparked rumors and conversation in the theme park fandom on what this show could entail.
Epic Universe currently ends each day with a beautiful fountain show, but this trademark gives the idea that something more… epic, is on the way.
There are two nighttime shows currently taking place at the Universal Orlando Resort. Universal Studios Florida’s ‘CineSational: Symphonic Spectacular‘ is an extraordinary show that mixes pyrotechnics, projection mapping, water screens, fountains, and even drones! Islands of Adventure doesn’t have a dedicated nighttime spectacular, but runs ‘Hogwarts Always,’ a short, but impactful projection show on Hogwarts Castle featuring projection mapping and pyro.
You can look for both of these nighttime experiences during the summer at Universal Orlando.

With Epic Universe utilizing an “open hub” concept every so often, could Celestial Goodnight be the first theme park nighttime spectacular you could view without admission to the park?
While Epic Universe does not currently operate with an open hub, the concept has been tested out during private events, allowing attendees of conferences or gatherings to explore Celestial Park. The portals to the worlds of Epic Universe are then blocked off with photo recognition readers, allowing only those with park admission to enter lands like Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.

As we wait for official confirmation from Universal Orlando Resort, we’ll keep our eyes out for additional testing, including what could possibly be happening after hours. Stay tuned to Attractions Magazine as we update this story with more information as it becomes available.
