Regal goes big with “Minions & Monsters” popcorn buckets and collectibles
Regal Cinemas has unveiled a large lineup of “Minions & Monsters” collectibles arriving at participating theaters ahead of the film’s July 1 release.
The collection includes multiple popcorn buckets, character-themed containers, a light-up drink cup, shoulder buddies, and a collectible kids combo, giving moviegoers several ways to bring home a piece of the latest Illumination adventure.
The reveal comes the same day Cinemark’s “Minions & Monsters” merchandise lineup reveal, though Regal appears to be offering several additional collectibles beyond those previously announced.
With both theater companies revealing their full collectible lineups and Wendy’s dropping Minions meals on social media, this summer’s “Minions & Monsters” merchandise cycle is growing.
New “Minions & Monsters” popcorn buckets
Among the headlining items is the Zoetrope collectible popcorn bucket, a large teal container inspired by the film and sold with a large popcorn. Plus, there are two other “Minions & Monsters” popcorn buckets. The Irene collectible popcorn container has a translucent orange base, while the popcorn is contained within James himself as Goomi stands timidly behind him; all three are new movie characters.
Other collectibles
Regal is also introducing a collectible kids combo featuring a themed popcorn tin, drink cup, and one of five character toppers inspired by the film’s monster-themed Minion characters.

For fans looking beyond popcorn buckets, the collection includes magnetic Shoulder Buddies plush companions and a collectible Explorer light-up cup that comes filled with a beverage of the guest’s choice.

How Regal’s collection compares to Cinemark’s
While Cinemark was the first theater chain to preview “Minions & Monsters” merchandise, Regal’s lineup appears to expand on the offerings already announced.
Both chains are promoting the Zoetrope popcorn bucket, but Regal has additionally revealed the Irene and James and Goomi popcorn containers, Shoulder Buddies plush collectibles, and a light-up Explorer cup.

As theater chains continue competing for collectors, exclusive concession merchandise has become an increasingly important part of major animated movie releases.
