Cinemark’s exclusive cowboy cup will draw fans to the concession stands. It could be almost as chaotic as the Minions. Illumination’s ‘Minions & Monsters’ doesn’t arrive in theaters until July 1, but the concession stand countdown has already begun.

With Cinemark revealing its full collectible lineups and Wendy’s dropping mysterious teasers on social media, this summer’s “Minions & Monsters” merchandise cycle is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical merchandise drops of the year.

In other words, “BEE-DO! BEE-DO! Clear the shelves! Hide the bananas! The shiny yellow things are coming!”

“Minions & Monsters” is the third prequel film in the Minions spin-off series and the seventh overall installment in the “Despicable Me” franchise. Set roughly 40 years before the original “Minions” film, the story follows a new trio, James, Ed, and Henry, in 1920s Old Hollywood. After an accidental taste of stardom during the silent film era, the transition to “talkies” leaves them aimless. They decide to direct their own horror movie, but using a stolen spellbook to summon real monsters quickly unleashes chaotic, globe-threatening mayhem.

Cinemark’s lineup of “Minions & Monsters” merchandise

Cinemark revealed its full “Minions & Monsters” merchandise lineup. For it, Cinemark has an exclusive item guests won’t find anywhere else in North America: a Cowboy Souvenir Cup featuring a Minion in a cowboy hat and bandana.

An actual Minion was not available for comment, but we can imagine it would have this to say about the lineup, “Poopaye, money! Hello, cowboy hat! Giddee-up, little yellow horsey!” The lineup includes:

  • Cowboy Souvenir Cup: North America exclusive. Shaped cup featuring a Minion in a cowboy hat and bandana. The chain’s signature item for the film.
  • James & Irene Popcorn Bucket: Sculpted figure showing a Minion partially swallowed by a bulging many-eyed monster. A shaped collectible, not a standard tub.
  • James & Goomi Popcorn Bucket: Suit-wearing Minion alongside a small green creature. Sculpted shaped figure format.
  • Super Snack Pack & Plush Combo: 64oz tin, 16oz cup, and one plush figure. Available at select theaters while supplies last.
  • 130oz Popcorn Tin: Oversized shareable popcorn tin with Minions & Monsters theming.
  • 32oz ICEE Cup + Blankets: Themed ICEE cup plus two “Minions & Monsters” branded blankets.

More Minions collectibles

Wendy’s has been posting “security footage”-style clips on Instagram featuring the phrase “bee-do bee-do.” Since Minion fans know that comical-sounding Minion alarm, something related to the movie is coming. Also, alongside warnings about mischievous activities happening at Wendy’s, a distorted kitchen security camera feed labeled “Wendy’s Cam” showed a blurry yellow figure obscured by static, and fans in the comments immediately began speculating about a “Minions & Monsters” merchandise collaboration.

The fast-food chain hasn’t confirmed specifics yet, but the timing aligns directly with the July 1 release and suggests a promotional tie-in is imminent.

Universal Orlando Resort is getting in on the action, too

For those whose Minion fandom extends beyond the multiplex, Universal Orlando Resort is bringing a dedicated “Minions & Monsters” experience to Universal Studios Florida this summer. The activation runs on most dates through August 10 and introduces guests to new characters from the film.

  • New merchandise including blindbox collectible figures and a Goomi shoulder plush.

If the Minions had a message for guests, it would probably be: “Happy hunting, human friends. Don’t let the monsters steal your popcorn.”
