Bluey at Animal Kingdom: virtual queue ends June 2, train access and more explained

Families planning to visit Bluey’s Wild World at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this summer have some good news!

Disney has confirmed the new experience will continue using a virtual queue system through June 1. Then starting June 2, a regular standby line will be used. You should expect long lines, before riding the Wildlife Express Train to Conservation Station, and another queue to enter the Conservation Station. Here’s exactly how the process will work, what guests should prepare before arriving, and what to expect once it opens.

Disney has now confirmed that Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station will continue using a virtual queue system through the My Disney Experience app, similar to the systems previously used for attractions like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Then, a regular standby line will be used June 2, 2026, until further notice. Disney confirmed this change on their virtual queue page.

The experience is part of Cool Kids’ Summer at Walt Disney World Resort and is expected to remain at the park beyond the summer season.

How the Bluey virtual queue will work

When Bluey’s Wild World opens, guests will need to join a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app. Disney says there will not be a traditional standby line during the initial opening period, though a standby queue is expected to be added later.

Guests can request to join the virtual queue at two different times each day:

  • 7 a.m.
  • 10 a.m.

For the 7 a.m. virtual queue drop:

  • Guests need valid admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  • A theme park reservation may also be required, if applicable
  • Guests do not need to be physically inside the park to join

For the 10 a.m. drop: Valid admission is still required, and you must already be inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Pro-tip: A week or so before your Animal Kingdom visit, check that everyone in your party has the correct tickets, any required park pass reservations, and that you are all connected on the Friends & Family list in the My Disney Experience app.

Remember to pick up a Cool Kids’ Summer Animal Kingdom guide map too.

Standby line becomes available June 2, 2026

At launch, Disney says Bluey’s Wild World did not offer a traditional standby queue. But starting June 2, you can join a standby line to board the Wildlife Express and head to Bluey’s Wild World. Expect a long queue at the train station and another queue to get into Conservation Station for the Bluey games and songs.

This follows a pattern Disney has used for several recent high-demand openings. Attractions including Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure all debuted using virtual queues before later transitioning to standby access.

The Wildlife Express Train is part of the process

One operational detail families may overlook is that the Bluey experience is not directly accessible from the main pathways of Animal Kingdom.

To reach Bluey’s Wild World, guests will need to board the Wildlife Express Train near Harambe Market in the Africa section of the park.

Disney says the virtual queue will cover access not only to Bluey’s Wild World itself, but also:

  • The Wildlife Express Train
  • Jumping Junction
  • Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station

That effectively means the Conservation Station area will temporarily operate as a controlled-access zone during the launch period.

What guests will find inside Bluey’s Wild World

Disney describes the offering as an interactive experience themed around games and activities from the Bluey television series.

According to Disney, guests can expect:

  • Music and dance moments
  • “Keepy Uppy”
  • “Magic Asparagus”
  • Bubble effects
  • Appearances by Bluey and Bingo

I had the opportunity to preview Bluey’s Wild World, and that’s exactly what I experienced. A round of “Keepy Uppy” and “Magic Asparagus” included interaction with Bluey and Bingo.

New Australia animal habitat opening

The experience also introduces Jumping Junction, a new shared habitat featuring kangaroos and wallabies inspired by Bluey’s Australian setting. Disney says guests will be able to learn about Australian animals while exploring the Conservation Station area.

Bluey Magic Shots will be available around the park

Disney PhotoPass photographers will also offer themed Bluey Magic Shots at select locations around Animal Kingdom.

The effects will include:

  • Bluey and Bingo
  • Janet and Rita
  • A “Keepy Uppy” scene with Flappy

Disney says the Magic Shots will be available near the park entrance and along the Discovery River pathway between Africa and Asia.

FCombined with the new Australian animal habitat, themed PhotoPass opportunities, and Conservation Station’s animal encounters, Bluey’s Wild World gives families another reason to hop aboard the Wildlife Express Train and explore a corner of Disney’s Animal Kingdom that many guests often overlook.

And if Bluey has taught us anything, it’s that the best adventures start with a little imagination, a lot of laughter, and maybe a game of Keepy Uppy.
