First look at all-new ‘World of Color – One’ at Disney California Adventure
“World of Color – One” has debuted as the all-new version of Disney California Adventure’s nighttime spectacular. Featuring films from nearly all facets of the Disney brand, this show portrays the journey of storytelling started by Walt Disney.
“World of Color – One” is the first ever Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to feature Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel’s ‘The Avengers,’ and Star Wars in one show. Marvel content is presented in a themed graphic rendition, inspired by the end credits of “Black Panther” and the Disney+ original series “Hawkeye.” Whereas Star Wars content is presented in a painterly style, inspired by original production art for the films.
“World of Color – One” debuted with an early preview for cast members and media on Jan. 25, 2023, where we got this first look at the show. Watch the full experience above, or in 4K definition on our YouTube channel.
This nighttime water spectacular features 1,200 fountains and a 380 foot wide water-projection screen. The score is composed of 18 musical compositions, including an original song “Start a Wave.” This new song was written by Grammy-nominated artist Cody Fry and features lead vocals performed by singer, songwriter and actress Loren Allred.
MagicBand+ will also interact with the show. These smart bands will glow with color and use vibration pulses to complement the fountains, water projections, and spotlights.
This showing will be accessible via virtual queue or limited walk-up viewing. I recommend reading the article above for best info on how to secure a great spot for “World of Color – One.”
