Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza will become a real restaurant in 2027
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is escaping the screen and becoming a real restaurant — complete with arcade games, animatronic performances and survival horror experiences.
American Dream announced Saturday that it will open the first permanent immersive restaurant based on the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” franchise in 2027. The attraction will be located inside the entertainment and retail complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The venue is being developed with franchise owner ScottGames as a functioning recreation of the fictional pizzeria at the center of the video games and movies.
“We’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza — we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza,” said Atreyu Alcantar, creative manager of licensing and location-based entertainment at American Dream.
American Dream is already home to Nickelodeon Universe theme park, DreamWorks Water Park, Big Snow indoor ski slope, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, SEA LIFE Aquarium and other dining and entertainment experiences.

American Dream is developing the restaurant with ScottGames, the company behind the franchise. It is designed as a functional recreation of the fictional pizzeria at the center of the video game series, not simply a temporary set or photo opportunity.
American Dream bills the project as the world’s first permanent immersive restaurant experience based on “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”
“We’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza — we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza,” said Atreyu Alcantar, creative manager of licensing and location-based entertainment at American Dream and creative lead for the attraction.
What will be inside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza?
Plans announced for the experience include:
- Quick-service dining
- Arcade games
- Multiplayer game experiences inspired by survival horror
- An animatronic stage show featuring Freddy and the Fazbear Band
- A separate show featuring Foxy the Pirate in Pirate Cove
American Dream said authenticity will be central to both the animatronic entertainment and restaurant.
“The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high quality,” Alcantar said.
American Dream is approximately 57 miles from Six Flags Great Adventure, or about a 75-minute drive without significant traffic. Because American Dream is in North Jersey and Six Flags is in Jackson, they are not especially close, but they could be combined into a multiday New Jersey attractions trip.
When will Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza open?
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is scheduled to open at American Dream in 2027. An exact opening date, ticketing information and additional operational details have not been announced.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s” has entered the real world before
The American Dream restaurant will not be the franchise’s first physical experience, but it would be its first permanent one.
Fright Dome at Circus Circus Las Vegas opened the first “Five Nights at Freddy’s” walk-through attraction during the 2016 Halloween season. That same year, Sally Corporation presented an officially licensed interactive dark ride concept at IAAPA Expo, including a prototype Foxy animatronic, but the ride was never commissioned or built.

Universal brought the franchise into its parks in a larger form in 2025 with “Five Nights at Freddy’s” haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood, along with temporary Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza eats at Universal Studios Florida.
The new American Dream venue is the first announced version intended to operate as a permanent restaurant and entertainment experience.
