‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ popcorn bucket sells out at Fandango, but there is still hope

The colossal Godzilla Popcorn Bucket sold out at Fandango for $100. However, Regal, Cinemark, and AMC will sell it to moviegoers. Still, if you want one, start planning.

The Godzilla popcorn bucket is already a legend, and the movie hasn’t even been released yet. Fandango’s $100 Kaiju Popcorn Bucket for “Godzilla Minus Zero” has sold out, despite a price tag that gets you a movie ticket but not a single kernel of popcorn. Yes, people paid $100 for an empty bucket and a ticket. Still, the Fandango Godzilla popcorn bucket was gone about a day after the pre-order went live.

Godzilla hasn’t even hit theaters, and he’s already flattened wallets. The film, a sequel to “Godzilla Minus One,” opens Nov. 6, 2026. That gives the rest of us a few weeks to figure out how we are going to carry this thing.

How big is this thing, really?

Fandango lists the bucket at 19.7 inches tall, 15.75 inches wide, and 21.5 inches long. Cinemark rounds it to 19.5 inches tall. Pick whichever number you like. Either way, it is taller than the average school backpack, which is a sentence we never thought we would write about a popcorn bucket.

It will not fit in a cup holder. It may not even fit in your car’s back seat without its own seatbelt. If you sit in a standard theater seat, you’ll share the armrest with a monster roughly your torso’s height, and Godzilla won’t share his popcorn.

The popcorn goes in through an opening in Godzilla’s back, which is both an alarming sentence and an extremely Godzilla way to run a snack bar.

Regal, Cinemark, and AMC will sell Godzilla at the concession stand

We have good news for everyone who missed out on the Fandango Godzilla popcorn bucket. Regal, Cinemark, and AMC reportedly will all sell the bucket at their concession stands.

The less good news is that none of the three has posted a price for the Godzilla Minus Zero popcorn bucket yet, so we don’t yet know what it will cost.

Regal

Regal has two offers. The Godzilla popcorn bucket comes with a large popcorn. Regal is also offering a collectible combo that pairs the Godzilla popcorn bucket with an Aqua Cup.

Cinemark

Cinemark’s lineup has three items. The 3D Godzilla popcorn bucket comes with an XL popcorn served on the side. The Heat Ray Drink Bottle is a sculpted Godzilla head with a blue, heat ray-shaped bottle rising from its mouth, paired with a large drink. A more traditional popcorn tin also carries the film’s title and artwork. Cinemark says the collectibles will be available at select theaters while supplies last, and it has not announced pricing or an on-sale date.

AMC

AMC will also sell the massive Godzilla popcorn bucket. While we do not have specifics, AMC posted this on social media about the popcorn bucket: “The Destroyer of Hunger has been unleashed! This colossal Godzilla container is fit to feed your monster appetite.”

Should you chase the Godzilla popcorn bucket?

Suppose you are a Godzilla fan with shelf space; then chasing this may be worth your time. This full-body Godzilla holds snacks and will be the loudest thing in the lobby.

If you just want popcorn, Cinemark has a popcorn tin option, and Regal has a smaller bucket that pairs with a drink. If you plan to hit a theater on opening weekend, call ahead, because “select theaters” and “while supplies last” should make every collector nervous. Happy hunting!
