‘Moana: A Homecoming Celebration’ stage show now open at Hong Kong Disneyland

The first new offering of Hong Kong Disneyland’s multi-year expansion has arrived with “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration.”
This new stage show combines visual storytelling, puppetry, dancing and music to recount Moana’s adventures after she returns to her island home of Motunui.
Set in an all-new outdoor, open space venue in Adventureland, this new show invites guests to interact with the performers as they tell the story of Moana’s journey to restore the heart of Te Fiti with the demigod, Maui.
The show features many tailor-made props, costumes and handcrafted décor, all based on the original animated film, “Moana,” as well as traditional Polynesian culture. The costumes worn by the cast are more than a year in the making, inspired by traditional styles worn in parts of the Pacific Islands like Fiji, Tahiti and Samoa.
In addition to the new show, guests can now meet Moana in Adventureland, with more offerings related to the heroine coming to Hong Kong Disneyland later this summer.
