Everyone likes to be told they’re doing a great job, and Walt Disney World cast members are no exception. So, the next time someone does something to make your Disney World day extra magical, here are a few ways you can compliment cast members.

“Throughout the 50th Anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort, our cast members continue to be the heart of the magic and go above and beyond to provide magical experiences for the millions of guests who visit,” Walt Disney World Resort Communications Manager Susan Flower wrote in the Disney Parks Blog. “Thanks so much for recognizing and celebrating the cast members at the heart of our Disney magic. We love seeing your compliments and know they mean the world to these everyday magic makers!”
Over the years, Walt Disney World cast members have been recognized by guests in many ways, whether through letters, emails, social media posts using #CastCompliment, or the Mobile Cast Compliment feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app.
New Mobile Cast Compliment Feature
Since it launched in October with The World’s Most Magical Celebration, the Mobile Cast Compliment feature has already generated more than 25,000 compliments – and starting today, new enhancements make it even easier to recognize individual Walt Disney World cast members.

Search “Cast Compliment” in the My Disney Experience mobile app to access Mobile Cast Compliment. After selecting a compliment from a drop-down menu, guests can enter the cast member’s first name, hometown, and the date of their interaction. Just make sure to spell the cast member’s first name and hometown correctly so they can receive their personalized recognition.
If you didn’t catch a name, you can still share a compliment about the location or area where the magic happened.
Compliment Cast Members at Guest Relations
When a cast member takes the time to make your Walt Disney World experience better, why not take the time to thank them? Visiting a Guest Relations Window or Guest Relations Lobby (located near the entrances of all four theme parks) doesn’t take long, but it will certainly go a long way towards making sure a cast member knows you appreciate them.

For cast members working at any of the Walt Disney World hotels, a stop (or call) to the Front Desk will do the trick.
Say “Thanks” on Social Media
The hashtag #CastCompliment will let social media users know that a cast member has made your day, but it might not alert the cast member directly.
For that reason, one cast member tells us, the old-fashioned way is still the best way because “one of the highest levels of compliments is a physical letter sent to Walt Disney World.”
If you’d like to write a letter or card complimenting a Walt Disney World cast member, you can send it to Walt Disney World Communications at P.O. Box 10040, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040.
