Hurly-Burly, Disney’s new BoardWalk venue, is unlike anything that’s been there before
Disney’s BoardWalk has long been home to restaurants, bars and nighttime entertainment, but its newest venue will combine those experiences in a different way.
Hurly-Burly will officially open Oct. 1, 2026, in the former Jellyrolls location at Disney’s BoardWalk. Disney revealed the opening date along with the full food and drink menu and several new details about how the venue will operate.
Hurly-Burly seems to have the makings of a marquee moment at the BoardWalk. Here are three things that make Disney’s newest venue stand out.
1. It’s for families — until 9 p.m.
Perhaps the biggest difference between Hurly-Burly and the former Jellyrolls is who will be able to go inside.
During the afternoon, Hurly-Burly will welcome families for trivia and games. Disney had previously announced that the venue would transition to an adults-only experience at night, but we now know exactly when: Beginning at 9 p.m., Hurly-Burly will be reserved for guests ages 21 and older, with live music taking over the venue.
Hurly-Burly has two different personalities, and both fit the purpose of Disney’s BoardWalk. Families visiting the BoardWalk, or staying on site, can experience it during the day, while adults will have a dedicated nightlife destination later in the evening.
2. Its menu has a surprisingly Italian influence
Disney’s BoardWalk already has an Italian restaurant in Trattoria al Forno, but several of the savory dishes Disney selected for Hurly-Burly also have a distinctly Italian or Italian-American influence. When Hurly-Burly was first announced, Disney promised “classic, coastal-inspired cocktails and tasty light bites” but offered no specifics about the food; now, the full menu reveals a noticeable Italian influence.
The menu includes Meatballs in Tomato Gravy, Antipasto and Tomato Pie, along with Roast Beef Sliders topped with giardiniera.
Other choices include Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue, Oven-Roasted Shrimp and Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts. Still, the Italian influence gives the food menu a more distinct identity than the typical bar snacks you might expect from a live-music venue.
There’s also an extensive beverage menu with cocktails, beer and wine, plus three specialty nonalcoholic drinks: Overture in Orange, Caramel Corn Cold Brew and Cherry Marquee.

- Cherry-Vodka Limeade: Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Amarena cherry, and cold-pressed lime juice
- The Atlantic Review: Hangar One Mandarin Blossom Vodka, Cointreau Liqueur, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and Sprite
- Bubble Brava!: Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur, Italian Amaro, lemon juice, and Viarae Prosecco
- La Taquilla Picante: Ghost Blanco Tequila, lime juice, orgeat, rose water, and a spiced nutmeg rim
- Mertini: Plymouth Navy Strength Gin, Dolin Dry Vermouth de Chambéry, and Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters
- Road to Fame: An Atlantic Coast-inspired whiskey sour made with Michter’s Single Barrel Rye Whiskey, Laird’s Straight Applejack Brandy, and lemon juice
- Off-book Bramble: Fords Gin, Combier Crème de Mûre Liqueur, lemon juice, and blackberry

3. You don’t even have to go inside
One of the more interesting details Disney revealed is that part of the Hurly-Burly experience will extend directly onto the BoardWalk.
A walk-up window will serve select alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests strolling the promenade.

Hurly-Burly itself will also be walk-up only, with no reservations required.
The new venue continues some of the elaborate fictional history already found elsewhere at Disney’s BoardWalk. Nearby AbracadaBar tells the story of a gathering place for magicians and illusionists, while Hurly-Burly is themed as a historic seaside theater once home to vaudeville performers.
When Hurly-Burly opens Oct. 1, it will add another layer to the BoardWalk’s nightlife — but this time, Disney is creating a venue that changes considerably depending on when, and even how, you choose to experience it.
