Icon Park, the walkable entertainment and dining destination on Orlando’s International Drive, is celebrating this year’s Fourth of July with an all-new event.

The debut event, Icon Park Lights Up I-Drive, will invite guests to celebrate the holiday with a two-day Fourth of July celebration.

The skies will be lit both nights with bright colors from a pyrotechnics and light show, set in the background of the courtyard of The Week at Icon Park.

“This will be the best Independence Day celebration at Icon Park and we’re eager to share it with our community,” said Chris Jaskiewicz, president and CEO of Icon Park. “Whether you’re visiting the I-Drive area or an Orlando native, we welcome you to join us for this one-of-a-kind, local event. We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the patriotic spirit to our exciting, iconic destination.”

The two-day event begins on Thursday, July 4, and runs through Friday, July 5. The first day of the event will run from 4-10 p.m. and then continue the following day from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Guests can enjoy live bands, a comedian MC, stilt walkers dressed as Uncle Sam, balloon animals and more. Fourth of July favorites will be on sale during the event, including hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill; red, white and blue popcorn; and beer, wine and other drinks.

Icon Park will also host contests for those with a competitive spirit. Mattie’s Cupcakes will sponsor a pie-eating contest, and Buffalo Wild Wings will sponsor a Blazin’ Wings Challenge for adults.

During the day, families can enjoy free admission for two children with the purchase of an adult ticket to Skeleton’s Museum of Osteology. The adults can continue the festivities at Tin Roof, the official after-party venue for the event.

This will be a closed event, and guests can get free entrance to the exclusive part with the purchase of a ticket for The Wheel at Icon Park (one ticket per person). Prices start at $27.99 each.
