Key West Rapids to close at Adventure Island waterpark in Tampa

Busch Gardens has announced that Key West Rapids at Adventure Island is set to close this fall to may way for a brand new attraction.

This attraction will welcome its final visitors on Oct. 1, sending them down a 700-foot waterslide leading into a course that features three terraces of water. The attraction first opened in March 1995, and is located in the southwest part of the park. The new attraction taking the place of Key West Rapids will open sometime in 2020.
