New MagicBand+ personalized ‘letter to Santa’ window at Disney Springs
MagicBand+ bracelets activate a new special effect for the holiday season 2024 at Disney Springs — but only if you’re on Santa’s nice list!

Visiting Disney Springs during the holiday season? Bring your MagicBand+ for a seasonal surprise. The shopping and dining district at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Fla. installed a new window display outside of the World of Disney store on Nov. 8, 2024.
When guests approach this new window and tap their MagicBand+ wearable to the designated touchpoint, a personalized letter to Santa Claus displays in the window with the guest’s name.

When we caught the new MagicBand+ special effect in action, the letter to Santa displayed the following text, but there may be a rotation.
Dear Santa,
This year I’ve been extra good. I hope you will, I wish you would bring for me something new made with love by the North Pole crew!
Sincerely,
[Your name]
Additionally, rhyming verses are posted on the bottom of the window display, which also includes illustrations of Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and other characters in Christmas attire.
As the big day draws near, families deck each hall and dream of what Santa Claus will bring them all.
Meanwhile, families from far and near write letters to Santa. Have you sent yours this year?

In addition to the new window effect, MagicBand+ bracelets also interact with several Christmas trees throughout Disney Springs, as well as the Fab 50 character statues in each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (still in place and active despite the resort’s 50th anniversary being over).
MagicBand+ is available in many different designs, and can be purchased in person at Disney World or online via Disney Store. There’s even a new MagicBand+ design that matched the holiday artwork in the Disney Springs window.
