Maleficent float returns to Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade at Walt Disney World Resort
Everyone’s favorite party-crashing dragon, Maleficent, is set to make her big return to Magic Kingdom park today to re-join the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
While the float still retains her Steampunk style, it will be showing off a refreshed look – complete with enhanced safety features designed to keep any accidents from happening again.
The Maleficent float has been out of commission since last May when it caught on fire during a regular 3:00 run of the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Also making their return to the parade are Prince Phillip; the fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather; and the “Ravens” who await Maleficent’s orders as they fly by her side.
Guests can celebrate the return of the Mistress of All Evil with these offerings:
- The “Maleficent” Cone – Lime soft-serve in a black waffle cone, topped with purple sugar and chocolate horns, found at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland.
- Maleficent Merchandise – guests can find the perfect Maleficent-themed souvenir to celebrate her return, including T-shirts, pins, jewelry, and even socks. These items can be found at Sir Mickey’s and The Emporium in Magic Kingdom.
- Maleficent Horns headband – transform into the villain with Maleficent’s iconic horns headband, found at shops like Le Chapeau in Magic Kingdom and Celebrity 5 and 10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
