McDonald’s previews BT21 Happy Meal toys arriving July 14
McDonald’s has offered a first preview of its upcoming BT21 Happy Meal promotion, teasing collectible toys inspired by the popular character brand created with BTS. The limited-time Happy Meal collaboration is set to launch at participating U.S. restaurants on July 14.

The collaboration marks the latest pop culture-themed Happy Meal promotion from McDonald’s, following recent collections inspired by entertainment franchises and musical artists. The BT21 Happy Meal comes with: four chicken nuggets or a hamburger; fries or sliced apples; water, juice, or milk; and a toy.
On July 2, 2026 an official teaser was posted on McDonald’s Instagram page. Complete with a BT21 copyright in the fine print.

BTS and BT21 background
In late 2025, McDonald’s featured TinyTAN BTS Happy Meal toys. BTS is a South Korean pop group that debuted in 2013 and has become one of the world’s biggest music acts, with members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The group has earned global success with chart-topping albums, sold-out tours, and a devoted fanbase known as ARMY.
BT21 is a collection of original animated characters created in collaboration between BTS and LINE FRIENDS. Each BTS member helped design and develop the personality of a unique character inspired by their ideas, while an eighth character, VAN, represents ARMY. Since launching in 2017, BT21 has expanded into a global brand featuring plush toys, apparel, accessories, games, and brand collaborations.
