The 16,000-square-foot immersive pop-up welcomed guests from around the world, all to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse.

This new experience invites visitors to celebrate Mickey like never before. Featuring larger-than-life photo ops, curated original art, branded activations, and a new line of commemorative merchandise, this exhibition is open now through Feb. 10, 2019.

To honor Mickey’s 90-year impact on pop culture, the exhibition showcases installations from over 20 contemporary artists from around the world, including Daniel Arsham, Katherine Bernhardt, and legendary artist Keith Haring.

Haring’s drawing, “Untitled (Mickey Mouse)”, 1981, is joined by a hand-selected collection of original photos of the artist alongside some of his most famous pieces featuring the mouse, taken by his friend and photographer Tseng Kwong Chi.

All of the art pieces are showcases throughout more than a dozen thematic rooms, each carefully designed to highlight a chapter in Mickey’s story. Along the journey, guests will find photo ops like a replica of Steamboat Willie’s vessel, black-and-white scenes from cartoon shorts, and a unique interpretation of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Walt Disney’s film, “Fantasia,” and a recreation of the 1990s “All New Mickey Mouse Club” set.

Fans can also get a special look at the Disney Archives collection featuring Mickey Mouse-Mouse-inspired consumer products across the years, as well as the Academy Award for the creation of the character, on loan from The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, Calif.

Alongside the experience, “Mickey’s Maker Shop” is a retail store offering exhibition-branded items, select offerings from the 90th anniversary “True Original” capsule collections, and custom products that can be personalized in-store. The store will also offer limited-edition items through timed drops during the exhibition’s run.

The store is open to the public and tickets to the experience are not required for shopping. For those who can’t make it to New York City, select exhibition and Mickey 90 merchandise is available for purchase on shopDisney.
