Movie theaters have taken a page from theme park merchandising with collectable cups and themed popcorn buckets. Recently, the trend has been the more over-the-top the better.
Fall 2026 popcorn buckets
One of the most successful popcorn buckets from this year is the Yoshi Popcorn Bucket that hatched for “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” this spring. Summer blockbusters had their moments too. Now, it’s fall’s turn, which is typically a lighter season at the box office, but the movie theater collectibles for November and December show that the holiday season is going to be packed with movie magic.
“Scream” 30th anniversary Ghostface collectibles
What’s your favorite scary movie collectible? “Scream” celebrates 30 years with Ghostface popcorn buckets, cups, and a talking plush. The 20-inch Ghostface bucket is sold out online at Cinemark and Regal, while AMC’s collection arrives in theaters Oct. 29, 2026, while supplies last.
Clayface popcorn bucket
The upcoming DC movie “Clayface” is getting a particularly unusual popcorn bucket featuring a sculpted hand emerging from a container bearing the film’s title. Kind of works as a Halloween candy bucket to spook trick-or-treaters.
The collectible was spotted on display at AMC Disney Springs, alongside several other movie-themed concessions collectibles. The design makes it one of the more unsettling additions to the growing lineup of sculpted popcorn buckets.

Jack Skellington popcorn bucket
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” continues to inspire movie theater collectibles, including a ‘Sandy Claws’ Jack Skellington-themed popcorn bucket. This one lights up and has a fuzzy-textured Santa hat. The character’s enduring popularity has made the Halloween and Christmas favorite a recurring source of themed merchandise.

Street Fighter popcorn buckets
The upcoming “Street Fighter” movie is receiving a collection of theater merchandise inspired by the video game’s characters. Among the designs spotted at AMC Disney Springs are a bucket resembling Guile’s distinctive blond hairstyle, a blue energy-effect collectible and a themed container featuring the “Street Fighter” logo.

Iron Man Nano Gauntlet popcorn bucket
Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame Encore” brought new collectibles to theaters, including a Nano Gauntlet popcorn bucket modeled after Tony Stark’s final battle weapon. The red-and-gold gauntlet features colorful Infinity Stones, while a separate Iron Man helmet popcorn container recreates his Mark 85 armor.
Both designs were spotted at AMC Disney Springs.

Sense and Sensibility popcorn bucket
Arriving soon
One of the more elegant popcorn collectibles of 2026 takes inspiration from Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility.” Designed to resemble a stack of antique books, the collectible features a hinged top that opens to reveal a popcorn compartment. The book-inspired design offers something different from the superhero and horror-themed buckets dominating theater concessions.
See our dedicated “Sense and Sensibility” popcorn bucket guide for details on the collectible and where to find it.
‘Dune: Part Three’ popcorn buckets at AMC, Regal, and Cinemark

The sandworm popcorn bucket lives again! AMC’s “Dune: Part Three” collection includes a double sandworm popcorn bucket, while Cinemark has unveiled a Copper Sandworm bucket and Regal will offer an exclusive Spacing Guild Navigator bucket. AMC’s collectibles arrive Dec. 17, 2026; Regal lists December, and Cinemark says “coming soon.”
